"Aodh, there ain't any other people 'ere. Ya realize that, right?"
"Of course I realize that, why do you think I came here?"
Aodh was reading at the back corner of one of the gardens in the courtyard. It was a spot he knew was empty most of the time because it was shadowy and windy. Aodh didn't have problems with the cold and windy was a minor problem, at least today since it was calm. So he could be in peace without having to go somewhere too secluded.
Well, he could be as in piece as he could with Dulla. Which was good enough.
"I knew ye were a loser but this is ridiculous Aodh. Yer need to talk to people more, it ain't healthy bein' alone."
    "I'm not alone. I have you don't I? Unfortunately."
"It is the saddest thing in the world to see a man talk to his dog like a person, ye know. Even if said dog is as fabulous and charming as I."
Aodh just frowned at Dulla and didn't answer. If she were a human she'd be the most interesting, and obnoxious, person.
Aodh head was resting on his lap and there was a thick book about veterinary medicine on his lap. The tests weren't over yet and Aodh had a couple hard ones coming up. So he had wanted some peace to study. Which he hadn't got, apparently, as Dulla started whining.
"Hey, put yer body to play with me. Just for a little bit. Please? I won't call ye a loser anymore."
Aodh just sighed and decided to give up. He felt more comfortable with his head off so he put his head on a wooden bench and started to play with Dulla only with his body. Eventually he got into it and was even laughing and Dulla and his body rolled around in the grass.

Luciana had a habit of making herself as scarcely seen as possible. It let her see more interesting things than when she wasn't. And also get into a spot of mischief as well. It was her main form of entertainment with humans. Today was no exception. The school was always a good place to hang around. While quite a few of the students can see her even though she is invisible to the naked eye, she manages to play around. She wouldn't do anything harmful, unless she feels someone deserves it of course. Luckily though, she didn't have that kind of encounter yet. On her way, she saw a peculiar sight. A headless body with its head on its lap, reading a book. She approached from behind, hiding in case this person could see her. She'd just listen to the conversation happening. One-sided. This person must either be really lonely, or the dog could talk to him telepathically. It was one or the other. She watched the headless body playing with the dog, and it seemed as though the head was also enjoying itself. Still with her invisibility, she'd lower herself and rest against the back of the bench, leaning over the head and watching the dog and body play. "Looks like the two of them are having fun," she'd say quietly, just enough to be heard.

Suddenly Dulla stopped playing and stood up, looking intently at the bench Aodh's head was resting on. Aodh knew why because he had heard the voice too. He brought his body back to his head as Dulla went sniffing on the other side of the bench.
    "'Ey, who's there? Show yerself!"
"There's a woman here. She smells like death. Looks to be a reaper, and invisible. At least I can't see her. I think ye can. Use the ghost eyes or whatever."
The way Dulla said it kinda pissed Aodh off but he didn't mention it. He attached his head and looked where Dulla was sniffing. There was indeed a woman there, Aodh could see her normally thanks to his Spirit sight.
"An' why do ye feel the need to hide yerself from normal folk, Reaper?"
Aodh said as he placed his hands on his hips and Dulla came to his side. She didn't feel the need to growl, yet, so she just stared at where the Reaper was.

((It's a little short, sorry. And sorry if I somehow misunderstood her power.))

((No, you did fine ^^)) Nothing quite beats the look of surprise when people and animals hear a disembodied voice. Of course, nothing beats humans caught in the same situation. Especially urban explorers. A kick of a rock, a slam of a door or even a creak of the floorboards would be enough, but she wanted them freaked out. She could do a great child's voice. That was always the most effective, she found. Well, aside from peeking through an open window from the outside of a five-story building. These two weren't so scared though. The dog approached, and sniffed her leg. It was cute, she just had to pet her. Looking towards the now re-headed one, she could tell by the way he was looking right at her that he could see her perfectly. "Force of habit as some would say. I was never supposed to let myself be seen, except for those whose time is almost up. That is a complete lie," she'd immediately add with a chuckle after pausing for a moment. "Because it is sometimes great to be able to walk around and not worry that people might see you. I could be naked and no one would be able to see me. At least, no one in the human lands. Here, it simply serves as a way to let me know who can see me or not. Not that I have ever tried it here before," she chuckled again. She turned visible to the naked eye, holding her pose of leaning on the bench's back on her elbows. "I am Luciana. What is your name?"

Aodh was very suspicious of the female reaper, which was hard when Dulla was blabbing on and on inside his head.
"She smells like death but seems awfully nice. She even petted me, her hand was soft. She doesn't seem like a bad person, maybe ye should befriend 'er."
"Could you shut up for a sec Dulla? I'm kinda in a situation here."
    "Woah, sorreeh cranky pants."

Aodh concentrated on listening to the reaper, who was in the middle of busting her own lie.
"Well ain't that just honest of ye. As ye can see I can see ye so how aboot ye turn visible so me guardian can see ye as well. She's gettin' restless since she can't see yer."
    "No I'm not."
    "Shush you."

Aodh had a distrust towards reapers, despite practically being one himself. He just somehow got sick of death when his whole family was killed by men whose souls he himself reaped afterwards. Cruelly and painfully.
The memory made Aodh sick but he kept his face straight as the reaper introduced herself as Luciana, asking Aodh's name afterwards. Aodh frowned as he looked at Luciana, suspicion clear in his eyes.
"Now why would ye be interested in me name?"

"A girl can not ask someone's name?" she smirked. When she made herself fully visible, she took a moment to pet the dog again, since she enjoyed it and didn't bite. Hopefully now that she was exposed, the dog still wouldn't bite her. "Is it not how introductions usually go?" Luciana's gaze returned to the man who refused to tell his name and gave him a smile. His look gave it away. He was suspicious of her, and she couldn't rightfully fault him for that. It was fine, she found a bit of enjoyment in it. She let herself float over the bench and set herself down on it, hands on her knees. "At the very least, could I call you by something? Headless man or stranger are not that great to refer to someone."

Aodh sighed a little, he knew he was being a little ridiculous. Not that she could do that much harm to him with his name. But you never knew. Aodh had seen crazier things done to people for less. His kind, the Fae, could be really unpredictable, after all.
Dulla seemed happy enough for the pets and she licked Luciana's hand wet all over. She was relaxed and her tail wagged so fast it made her whole body sway. It made Aodh crack a small smile. If Dulla trusted Luciana then Aodh could give it a try
"I am sorry for bein' rude. I 'av me reasons to be distrustful."
Aodh said curtly, and nodded. Dulla turned to look at him with a bland look in her eyes.
    "Shut yer bake Dulla."
    "I didn't say nathin'"
    "Aye yer did."

Dulla huffed and turned her attention back to Luciana, panting happily.
Luciana floated to the bench and since it looked like she'd be okay with it Aodh took his head off. He had had it on for nearly two days straight and it was killing his neck.
"Yer can call me The Dullahan, if anythin'."
Aodh shrugged and sat down on the grass, putting his head on his lap.
"Ye got nathin' better ter chucker than strike up conversation with 'eadless 'orsemen?"

"Hmmm, apology accepted," she'd nod and smile. Really, anyone who trusts someone so carelessly would be a bit dumb. You had to save some skepticism now and again, especially when con artists were all the rage today as it were in the older millennium. "Dullahan?" Eyebrows raised in surprise, she crossed her legs and rested an elbow on the higher knee to prop up her head as she leaned forward with interest. "Is that what you are?" she smiled widely and an almost childish gleam in her eye twinkled. "I never met one of you before, but I guess that is because the people I used to work for was very protective of their territory. So tell me, what is it like to be a Dullahan? I am curious how different we both are, and how similar too!"

Luciana seemed almost childishly excited about Aodh being a dullahan, and he didn't know what to think about another reaper type being that. Should he be vary? Aodh looked at Luciana from his lap, raising one of his brows.
"Don't yer seem excited. Is it such a big deal?"
"I dun' think it is. Maybe she's just bored an' yer happen to be here? Though she's only gon' get more bored."
"Didn' I tell yer to shut yer bake?"
"Ye didn' say nothin' about telepathy."

Oh well, Aodh stepped right into that one.

Aodh listened to Luciana talk, and was little taken aback when she asked what it was like being a dullahan. Dulla glanced at him, worried. But Aodh sent her a telepathical 'don't worry' and concentrated on Luciana.
"Sorry ter gunk but me family stopped reapin' long time ago. I 'av the ability to reap still, but I'm a wee bit boke of death."
Aodh's Irish accent thickened a bit as he spoke, it was a kind of defense mechanism. These things were still sensitive to him. But he was an honest person and didn't want to hide the truth.

"Only because I never met one of your kind before. I mean, I do not think I have. Older memories are a little hard to recall." With a smile, she shifted in her seat to get a bit more comfortable. A look of disappointment briefly flushed over her face when she heard that he wasn't reaping anymore. "Kind of like me then!" she'd flash him a quick smile before easing back as she was leaning forward a bit. "It does get boring after a while." Luciana seemed to reflect on something for moment before her eyes turned back to Aodh. "But surely you have stories to tell? Or, do you not like talking about it?"
