It was morning, early morning, somewhere around 7. Too early for many, but for Flicker, it was honestly pretty normal — historically, anyway. Her recent ventures to the Grey Raven had been... skewing her schedule, so-to-speak. Either way, she was here at this time out of necessity, because the longer she waited, the fewer coins would still be available to find. Already, a few beach combers were scouting the area. Being a pirate island, Manta Carlos truthfully always had some coins washing up, but the most valuable loot from the night tides would surely be swiped by noon.

Flicker didn't care much for it, but Jessie did, and she wanted him to stick around.

The selkie leaned against a wooden fence post, waiting by a boardwalk that led down to the coastline. Jessie should, theoretically, arrive any time, since they'd planned for 7. As she waited, she looked out over the beach as it stretched before her. Rosey morning light glittered over the pale gold-tinged sands, and a few metallic flickers caught her eye from afar. She left them, for now, because no combers were approaching them any time soon. But if Jessie didn't come soon, she'd go and fetch them herself, just to make sure the loot didn't sink into the sand.

Jessie arrived to the boardwalk on time, which is a rare thing for him to do. He would definitely have been late if there wasn't potential money involved.

He was dressed like a pirate. From head to tippy toe, Jessie looked like he was an extra from Pirates of The Carribean. He wore a bandana over his head that his horns poked out of, he wore some fancy overcoat with cuffed sleeves, baggy pants, and those cuffed old timey boots. He strutted down the boardwalk almost like a drunkard. Each step he took was like a perfect wobble as his body swayed back and forth. He was just doing his best impression of some of Captain Jack's walking style.

He was getting some attention obviously, he was a pirate carrying a very suspicious looking black duffle bag.

It took a bit for Jessie to spot Flick, mostly because he was too busy vlogging himself and trying to impress strangers with his pirate jargon and mannerisms on camera.
He eventually found his new fr- uh...Flick.

"Ahoy, Flick!" He shouted as he approached her. He had the duffle bag in one hand and a selfie stick with his phone in the other hand.

"Ye ready to score some booty?!"

When Jessie finally appeared, Flicker waved, a smile easily blooming on her face. It was fun, seeing him around. No matter how much she'd embarassed herself the other night at the Grey Raven, Flicker really did enjoy this green-haired guy's company. He was chaotic, and she liked that.

At the sight of his black duffle bag, her grin spread wider.

"Ahoy! And hells yes I am," she said, laughter coloring her words. Days ago, Flicker wouldn't have known the word 'ahoy,' and she'd have been thoroughly confused by Jessie's pun. However, between the confusion over pirate-related idioms with Om and her general desire to impress Jessie, she'd... well, she'd done a little extra homework on the matter. Her accent still thickly colored any words without a selkie equivalent, but she was definitely learning, that much was true.

Flicker walked over to Jessie, meeting him as he came over. Grinning, overlarge eyes scrunched into amusement, she poked his black duffle bag. "Pirate costumes, right? Can't wait to see what you brought. I've never been a pirate before."

She'd sent him the sizes for both a human outfit and the rough dimensions of her head and body as different types of bears, so, she was sure he'd found something terrific.
