    Name: Lorencia Hel'Sarie
    Age: 16 17 18
    Birthday: January 1
    Gender: Female
    Species: Void Walker
    Category: Student
    Class: College
    Grade: Freshman
    Major: Performing Arts

    Appearance Description:
    [IMG] [IMG]

[Official art of Aosato Sachi from Happy Factory]

Lorencia stands at 5'8", built with a slender figure. Her skin tone is to the fairer side of the scale. Her eyes are magenta while her hair is a darker purple.

Personality Description: Lorencia is a natural-born artist with a bubbly personality that seems to be resistant to all negative forces. She's highly optimistic, perhaps to the point of naivety to those around her. Even when faced with a potentially lethal situation, she remains undaunted. Hell, she is likely to jump into those kinds of situations herself, especially if there is something adorable involved. However, don't let her fool you, she is more than capable of handling herself, at least she thinks so.

She is very loyal to friends and will stick up for them, or to them, in any situation. When friends clash, she tries to be the mediator, sometimes getting in between them and even fighting them both if that makes things better.

Lorencia also cross-dresses regularly, and thanks to her natural talent to the arts, she can easily act the part. She has a wide vocal range, so its easy for her to sell it, and to sing a wide array of songs. She is also a bit of a musician, with her best instruments being the piano and guitar, though she has a knack for most instruments once she knows the notes.

    Powers:
Novice Fire Magic -- Lorencia can conjure up flames from her body. She isn't harmed by it, nor would her clothing be affected either. She can control the flames she creates, as well as those around her, but not if it is the creation of another, unless she can overpower the control. Highly unlikely at the moment. Her sphere of influence is only up to 50 meters out, but anything she launches, take a fireball for example, will last until the magic dissipates or it impacts something, but it would depend on what spell she was using.

Realm Master -- Lorencia has created her own realm, which is like a world on its own, although its only really only as big as a regular bedroom. This is where she puts her collections and other belongings, and alternatively where she could retreat to for some privacy. The realm can be changed to her liking, and so long as she is alive and well, the realm will remain, along with everything in it.

This realm is directly connected to her, and so only she has the means to create a portal to it. However, she may bring in guests as she pleases, and some may even get to wander into it without her knowledge if she left the portal open. Another way for someone else to get into this realm is if she gave them a "key" of some sorts, but she makes sure that only a specific person can use it.

The realm itself is similar to what some may call a "Pocket Dimension," it exists on its own plane, and expands as Lorencia's power grows. She can change anything that wasn't brought in here, like the walls, the color, the lighting and when she gets powerful enough, she can even create her own landscape. The physics here can also be altered.

    Species Abilities:
Void Walker -- Void Walkers are immune to all forms of curses, diseases, parasites and poisons. Their blood is charged with magic, allowing injuries to heal 20 times as quickly, but can also be used in different ways, including healing other people. (Check Void Walker Characteristics below for more details.) They also nullify ambient magic like auras. As a general rule of thumb, if it isn't directed at them with the purpose of harming on impact, such as spells that create fireballs or lightning strikes, then they are not affect by it. They are also invisible to wards, magical senses or spells that grant enhanced senses.

Void Magic -- Void Walkers can innately manipulate aspects of space in order to create platforms under their feet and portals, however Lorencia would need to either be familiar with the area or have a line of sight on it to be able to make portals. Currently she can only maintain one pair of portals at any given time, and platforms disappear the moment she loses contact with it. Void Walkers can also mimic other spells with the void, but only in form and not in element, unless they are aligned to it.

Biography: Lorencia was born with a larger reserve of magic than her peers, and showed that she could use it fairly well. Because of her attitude, she quickly became a teacher's pet, which made her a target for bullying. At the time, she didn't know how to stand up for herself as she was raised to avoid any conflict out of fear that all her extra magic may lash out and end up making her do something she could never take back. She had no choice but to take it in silence.

But when her cousin, Devias, came to her aid, she started looking up to him. She admired his cool and calm demeanor, which was admittedly nearly the opposite of hers. Nonetheless, they got along fine and both developed a deep, platonic relationship, which they were often teased for.

As they grew up, Lorencia had gotten better at sticking up for herself and to others, so she no longer had to rely on her cousin. But when she heard that he was going to leave once he reached 16, she had to beg for him to stay until she could go along with him. While she had made many friends over the years, she was set on exploring the different worlds with her cousin.

By the time she was 16, she had already accomplished things that her peers could not: create her own realm. It wasn't as grand as the Void where they lived, in fact it barely looked like they were standing in the middle of void minus anything to orient themselves, and it was barely any bigger than her room, but the fact that she created and maintained it so it wouldn't collapse spoke a lot about her potential. Something that she hoped to improve upon during their time in Manta Carlos' Academy.

    Summary of Recent History:
-- During the Love Cruise for students, she had her first romantic encounter with Victor Castleton, and had her 'first' with him.
-- After some time, they separated because of reasons she doesn't want to talk about, but it wasn't something bad.
-- She has a plushie of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, given to her by Victor.

    Additional Information:
    Void Walkers --
In a world parallel to the one that contains Manta Carlos, magic was everywhere. The arcane arts were well studied, and as scholars delved deeper into the root of the arcane, they found a completely different form of magic. One that had the tendency to nullify all known magic. This of course caused a great deal of excitement and research on the subject began almost immediately.

Because of the dangers that may come from this 'Null' magic as they initially called it, those who took part in the research migrated to Sol, an archipelago that was used long ago to study magic back when it was still a mystery, which by far was the safest place they could have chosen.

Progress was slow, and at times there was none at all. Eventually most of the researchers gave up and returned home. Those who stayed were slowly driven mad by frustration and contemplated on following their colleagues out the door. That was when they finally reached a breakthrough. One of the researchers finally learned how to muster enough Null that they could study it more intimately, breaking down its properties and how it interacted with other types of magic.

They knew that it canceled out most spells, but how it did so was still a mystery to them. Soon, they found out that the null magic they were studying could actually absorb other types of magic, not just canceling them out, and use that absorbed magic to strengthen itself. The scholars were excited, but they failed to see the side effects of such magic on the user.

After using it too much, they were left feeling like something was missing. It reflected in their notes that were sent to the mainland that everyone who used that kind of magic lost a piece of themselves. Whether it was their passions, their memories, or even their minds.

But by the time the mainland knew what was happening, drastic changes were taking place in their world. Magic became harder to perform, and those who were naturally sensitive to shifts in magical energies could sense that the ambient magic around them were thinning. They traced it all back to Sol.

The mages there went too far and unleashed a power they couldn't control. It enveloped them and the archipelago. All of it was erased from existence, as far as the unaffected mages were concerned, along with most of the world's arcane energies. But that however would come back with time, as would the mages that disappeared. Or at least their descendants.

When the Null magic went out of control, it created a black hole for arcane energies, sucking it all away from the world. But before all was lost, the scholars researching Null attempted to contain the problem they had created. They ended up creating a pocket universe outside their own to quickly separate themselves before they did irreversible damage.

They called their new home "The Void," and since then they renamed their magic to "Void Magic" to better fit the properties they have discovered. And naturally, they became known as "Void Walkers." Not the most creative sorts, but considering the void took a lot from them in more than one sense, it wasn't that bad of a sin.

About 500 years since the Void was fabricated, the mages found ways to reconnect to their ancestral origin through portals, as well as a number of different worlds. This eventually lead to the introduction of different species into their world, either accidentally or purposefully. Because of this, the Void Walkers are diverse in appearance and anatomy, but their blood have been 'normalized' by the Void's influence, at the rate at which their blood cells naturally get replaced by new ones.
The universal trait of Void Walkers is their volatile magic-infused blood. While they flow the same way and have the same metallic scent, their properties are completely different. For one, it gives off a faint purplish glow when it is outside the body. However the glow quickly fades, as does the magic infused in it if the blood is no longer in contact with the Void Walker. Curiously, if the blood is still clinging onto the Void Walker's skin, it would seep back in within a few moments. The blood on clothes remain however, staining them like regular blood, but only with a different color.

Now that is an interesting topic in itself. When the blood is dried, it has a dark violet color. But when its fresh, not only does it faintly glow, but it looks like a window to a completely different world. Splash some fresh blood on the side of a moving truck, and you'll see the texture rapidly shifting along, not unlike looking out of the window of the truck. However, there doesn't seem to be anything to see as the view is an endless sea of purple and violet clouds. And it doesn't act like a portal either, so jumping into the blood splatters is not recommended.

Since their blood is infused with magic, it has other uses aside from keeping the Void Walker alive. I one could find a way to contain it without its magic fading away, it could act like a battery. In the same sense, if it is supplied with magic before its completely empty, it can hold on to that magic until its needed.

When it comes to injuries, a Void Walker's body regenerates itself about twenty times faster than a normal human. It sounds fast, but its not instantaneous in most cases. Say if a one centimeter deep cut would take 2 weeks to heal in normal humans. To a Void Walker, it will only take 17 hours, with small scrapes taking 3 hours. Most Void Walkers are also taught how to use their blood to heal injuries much faster as well as treating others. Of course, overdoing it in a small window of time will eventually lead to their death because of blood loss.

Blood transfusions are also an interesting subject. When mixed with normal blood, the Void Walker's blood will mix with it without any reaction. If foreign blood is injected into a Void Walker's bloodstream, that blood will be assimilated quickly without complications and without regard to the blood type. When a Void Walker's blood is injected into someone who is not a Void Walker, the results are usually fatal. According to ancient papers, there is a 78% chance it will lead to the recipient's death, 12% is the chance of survival and the remaining 10% is the chance of the recipient gaining powers dependent on who the donor is. Because of the high risk of death, blood transfusion experiments have been banned outside animal testing, but even that is heavily frowned upon. Getting caught means either getting a death sentence or being exiled.

As generations passed, the Void Walkers' bloodline has stabilized considerably compared to when the first transfusion experiments first took place, and medical and magical knowledge has also expanded, so the odds of surviving may have changed, but none had attempted such experiments as of yet.
