Alexis was ready for this competition. Personally he would have preferred an actual fight but Rosen had insisted he needed to work on his cooperation skills. So, when Destra had suggested playing co-op games in the arcade, but having the higher scorer win, Alexis figured that was the best thing he was going to find. Also he considered Destra to be one of his friends, so at least he wasn't going to be cooperating with anyone lame.

Alexis waited outside the arcade to meet Destra. Around him stood his three regalia. Right behind him, with a hand on his shoulder, was a middle-aged man with a large red beard who looked like the friendliest person around. Next to Alexis leaned a teenage boy about the same age as Alexis, dressed in black leather and spikes made of lime green glass. He was in the middle of saying how great the competition was going to go. On the ground sitting next to the bearded man was a very old-looking indian man silently meditating.

Destra arrived to the challenge with two of his regalia. Zeph was just an excited kid, really he was just in it for the arcade, and hanging out with Destra. His most recent partner, Aton was interested in seeing what he could do so he was also tagging along. Helena was busy elsewhere, and Phoebe was...hopefully not getting into trouble.

He spotted Alexis and his regalia fairly quickly, and approached them. "Alright, I'm here. Let's do this thing."

As soon as Destra approached them Galen, the red bearded man, happily introduced himself to everyone. Alexis rolled his eyes a little bit but he didn't seem quite as annoyed as he normally would have. His emotion wiping ability clearly wasn't in effect but perhaps the calming hand on his shoulder was helping him in a less magical way. Gyan never moved from his seated position but greeted them each by their names even though they had not given them. Rosen, the one in lime green glass spikes, seemed the most excited and expressed how cool he thought the idea was for how they were working in their various aspects.

"Right, so we do three co-op games and see who can get the highest score without sabotaging each other. Best two out of three wins and....," Alexis glanced over at Rosen, who nodded and gestured for him to go on. "I guess i'll let you pick the first game." There, that wasn't so hard, not being an asshole, was it? Well, he was trying.

"I'm leaving Gyan out here and Galen said he was going to wait with him unless I needed him or something. Which I won't. We have our other stakes too. I win, you go ugly for two days. If I lose I... stop using my emotion power so much I guess." Alexis knew Gyan wasn't going to be overly comfortable in the loud arcade and though Galen was a comforting presence he wasn't really the focus for this challenge. Rosen was.

Destra's regalia introduced themselves to Alexis and his regalia. He just nodded along as the rules were set for the challenge. Of course he wasn't going to sabotage him in any way. The whole point was to fucking work together. Aside from the fact that that would be a shitty thing to do, he needed Alexis alive.

"That's fine, Zeph's just here to play some games. Aton's probably actually going to watch. As for games..." Destra looked around before spotting a fairly simple one. "The old school Avenger's game. There's clearly two slots so we can reasonably fuck shit up together."

Alexis nodded at each one as the regalia were introduced but his regalia were far more friendly. It almost seemed like the regalia he had pacted with were all there just to work on making Alexis less of a shit.

"Right, that game looks good. Don't think i've played it before but how hard could it be? Lets fuck up some... uh bad guys together? I get Iron Man though." He had no idea if that was a good choice or not and it probably didn't even matter. It wasn't like he even had a strategy anyway. It was going to be a competition but playing arcade games with Destra could be fun, though he probably wasn't going to admit it.

He walked over to the machine with Rosen following to eagerly watch. Alexis had the urge to use his emotion expelling power but he held off for now. While he didn't consider using it so much an abuse of it he was trying not to use it all the time. Just when he needed it. which, to be fair, had been pretty often lately.

"It's an old school game so probably harder than it looks. I think I'm gonna be Thor, for obvious reasons," he said as he made his way to the game. He paused for a second and considered something.

"I guess you can be player one since I picked," he slid over to the player two side, popping his coins in. Win or lose at least they'd get to have some fun with this.

Alexis rolled his eyes at the comment about Thor. He assumed it was because of that damn lightning Destra had. Terrible, nasty stuff. But they were supposed to be cooperating so he didn't comment on it. Speaking of cooperation, it seemed like Destra was trying to be nice or something by offering up player 1.

"Fine, you can be player one when I pick the next game," like hell was he going to let Destra seem more cooperative than him. Wait.... what? Anyway, he put his own coins in the player 1 slot and got ready to figure out how the controls worked. It looked simple but Destra had said it was probably harder than it looked.

"Come on, Thor, let's beat up some henchmen or whatever," he said as the game started up and they could select their characters. He was only picking Iron Man because he was the most recognizable to Alexis.

As Destra said, it was surprisingly more difficult than it looked. In fact, they were doing terribly though not entirely either of their fault. They managed to fight their way through the first couple levels, and make it to the first boss of the game. Destra died, effectively losing the round.

"Well... that went a lot worse than expected but... you win."

Destra hadn't been wrong. The damn game was really hard. Probably because it so old or maybe it was supposed to eat coins to make more money. Either way the two of them didn't really make it very far.

They were fighting the first boss, some weird green juggernaut knockoff that spun around or some shit. The damn guy was just flinging around the screen and before they knew it Thor had taken too much damage and fell. Iron Man was cool and all but without Destra helping Alexis didn't stand a chance and they didn't beat that boss.

"Fuck, what even was that green asshole. Kinda looked like he had a crayon costume but he was too fat for it," he snickered. He had technically won but only just barely. More like he had lost just a moment later than Destra. "Uh, good job throwing those barrels and shit. I didn't even know you could do that." He glanced around at the other machines, trying to figure out which one to pick next.

"Everything was awful, and I don't wanna talk about it," Destra growled. He wasn't mad at the loss, he was mad at how it seemed... harder? Did the difficulty go up with more players? Probably, maybe. Maybe he was just off his game.

"So... your pick, what are we playing?"
